Would definitely not recommend anyone to use this service. for a company that claims to make the car buying process easier, they actually don't. Then, they try to make me wait for later in the day to book two at once. I try to book two, separate, half-hour test drive times and their website does not allow me to do that. here I am, willing to do the work to drive down there to test drive the vehicles. They did not have an explanation, other than that I apparently needed to book a longer appointment where both cars are available. I then spent several minutes asking for them to explain why I can't just book two separate appointments at different times. So instead of getting this done early at 9am, done by 11am, I have to wait until later in the afternoon to look at both cars. I get on the line with Shane, from Shift, and apparently, he told me that even though their website allowed me to book two separate half hour test driving appointments, the company would not allow me to do it because i had to wait for a longer time frame where both cars were available for a test drive. The website doesn't allow me to schedule that appointment and says I should expect a call from someone at Shift soon. I then try to book a test drive for the other Prius at 1030am for later in the same day. So I go online and book an appointment at their hub for one car. And since I'll be down there to check one car out, why don't I check out another. Seeing as they have a hub in SD, I decide that I can make the drive down there this weekend to check out a car. Paying $250 for a test drive?! Outrageous. Oh, btw, I'll lose the $250 if I decide NOT to buy the car. I live in LA, which apparently is close enough to their SD hub that they wouldn't charge and I just have to pay $250 for the delivery. What their website fails to tell you is that there is a S&H fee if they have to ship the vehicle to you. I called and apparently they will drive the vehicle to me for a test drive. I live in Los Angeles and was interested in a Prius I saw in San Diego.
Plus, even if you are willing to do the work and drive to a hub, and book multiple test drive appointments online, their system won't let you. Also charges a $900 'vehicle prep' fee without providing details of what you pay for. TL DR Charge S&H fees if a car you're interested in isn't in one of their Hubs.
